Have you ever heard the saying, “what doesn’t kill you will only make you stronger?” Believe it or not, this is a true statement with a bible thought behind it. You see we will all face trials and tribulations throughout our lives that may push us to the brink of giving up hope and throwing in the towel.
Can you imagine how Job must have felt when it seemed like he was drowning in a flood of bad luck and adverse outcomes? The truth of the matter is that most of us would have given up, but Job realized one thing, that is through it all he survived.
Now stop and take a look at everything that you’ve faced through the lens of Job 1:21. After considering all that he had been through and everything that he had suffered he declared, “And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”
In other words, he came into the realization that he had survived and that ultimately God was/is in control of it all. Now accept the fact that you survived the hurt, the pain, the sickness, the death of a loved one, the depression, and the anxiety. Why? Because YOU WERE BUILT FOR THIS!
2 Corinthians 4:8-10
“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.”
