Many people wrestle with mental and physical issues that relate from emotional experience. Leading to an emotional handicap which can create a lack of dependency on many different levels. One of the first things that a hurting person needs to do is break the habit of using other people as a narcotic, a temporary fix, a crutch, to numb the dull aching of the void they feel. The more the symptoms remain medicated and covered, the less chance you have of allowing God to heal you fully. Nothing covered is ever healed.
Therefore the issues and hurt of your past do not necessarily determine the outcome of your future. You can’t dwell there while trying to move to your destiny. God doesn’t punish you to heal you. Jesus has already sacrificed His life and know that Jesus has already prayed for you.
This woman who had been disabled by a spirit for 18 years didn’t even go back home after she was healed. She had dealt with this issue all these years and still didn’t go to her familiar place. Instead, she ran into the city and told everyone to come and see the Man who had told her about her life. He just wants the glory!!!
I encourage you this holiday season to find the Merry in Christmas. Don’t allow the past to prohibit you from giving Jesus praise, glory, and celebrating Him. No matter how many years you’ve felt like you weren’t good enough. You shall live and not die. Don’t give up. Don’t give in. “You are free of your disability.” What an awesome gift to receive this holiday season.
I pray for those dealing with the loss of peace, joy, happiness, loved ones this holiday season. Those dealing with abuse, depression, sickness, financial issues. May your lack be restored. In Jesus Name.
“And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And lo, there was a woman having a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and she was bent together and wholly unable to lift her head up. And Jesus, seeing her, called to her, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands upon her; and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.” Luke 13:10-13
