There are two ways to see yourself: through the eyes of others or through a mirror. We were created in the image and likeness of the triune Godhead.
Therefore what we project should look like God. What people should see when they see you is “love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance ( Galatians 5:22).”
However, there are some who claim to know God, yet they often reflect “haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.” Proverbs 6:16-19 NIV
The first eight things will make you reflect the image of God, while the latter seven will cause you to reflect or project what God hates.
So what do you reflect or project? What’s your image? What do others see in you?
BE sure that your image reflects the love of God and draws others to Him instead of pushing them away. THINK ABOUT IT, OTHERS ARE WATCHING YOU, and what they see matters. What’s your image?
