We are all like trees weathering the storms of life; vulnerable, exposed, and effected by our environment in major ways. What were you built for? Will you endure?
Some of us are like Pine trees- they snap easily in the midst one of life’s many storms, and they are magnets for lightening; in other words they feed off of drama/trouble.
Some are like Pecan trees- they may get roughed up (beaten and bruised up) and some storms may even snap, but they survive the storm.
Some are like a Palm trees-when the storm comes they bend, but they don’t break. Then after the storm passes by they stand taller than they were before they went through the storm.
Some are like the Great Oak Trees-what doesn’t kill them only makes them stronger. In other words they weather the storms of life while seemly growing bigger, better, and stronger as storms pass by.
When the storm of life are raging, and they will rage in your life, it will matter greatly the type of tree that you are. Resiliency, perseverance, strength, and growth are the traits that you will need in order to endure and overcome. I pray that the spirit of the Lord will keep you planted by flowing waters that will nourish and make you stronger.
“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Psalms 1:3 KJV
