Have you ever been so emotionally exhausted that you feel spiritually drained? In moments where you have been everything for everyone and not enough for yourself. Or the moments when it feels like everyone is against you and you are left feeling like it’s you against the world, literally. Many people have this experience and it is in these times when we must call on the name of our sustainer.
We tend to run to a place thinking we need a break from reality. Truth of the matter is we take us everywhere we go. It is in the same way that David ran when he too was in distress. See, I am sure everyone has a testimony to tell. A testimony that reminds you of how God has been a shield of protection, a lifter of your head, and a sustainer. God was all of these things to David. Just as God protected David in Psalm 3:5 while he slept, God is also protecting you. However, you can no longer afford to lay down and sleep.
It is time for you to get up. This verse of scripture found in Psalm says, “I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the Lord sustained me.” The Lord may have protected you while you were in distress and even kept you while you slept. But my friend, it says “I woke AGAIN”. Not only have you been in this place before, but God sustained you again. So, what are you going to do with that testimony this time? God is allowing you to wake up, so stop sleeping on Him. Stay Woke! Will you continue running in distress only to repeat the cycle? Or will you give the glory, your life, and your soul? The time is now. God continues to show up, wake up from that spiritual sleep and show up.
Beloveds, it is time for you to wake up. The Awakening is upon us. Psalm 3:5- “I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the Lord sustained me.” He is soon to return, don’t let Him find you sleeping. Wake up, again.
