Get to know “Girl Talk Ministry” Ministry
First Lady Latasha “Tasha” Robertson-Founder
The Girl Talk Ministry was founded in April 2017. Lady Tasha Robertson credits the women of Union Baptist Church who inspire her to keep the fervently pursuing ministry. Lady Robertson shared that “walking into a ministry as a young first lady inspired me to pursue things that would grow women as well as the church as a whole”. She feels motivated when she can see and feel the people of God prospering and gaining knowledge in ministry. Lady Robertson knows her purpose as she is called to be a SERVANT LEADER first, and that’s a constant motivation for her. She gives God all the glory.
Girl Talk was originally held monthly on the third Thursday at 7 pm. However, it is currently held on the third Saturday of each month at 11 am unless scheduling conflicts. Girl Talk is a safe environment, and it’s a time for women of God to breathe, relax, and have fun. Girl Talk is a non-judgmental atmosphere. It is not just a ministry for women of Union Baptist Church. But all women are invited. It doesn’t matter what church affiliation, religious background, race, denomination, etc. Girl Talk is a place for transparency, growth, sisterhood, and, most of all, God. It’s an opportunity to love on and pray with one another. Lady Robertson shared that there future events are coming soon, and dates will be shared. Stay tuned!
Lady Robertson said, “It is my prayer and desire that the women of God would continue to love as Christ loves. That we stand by the meaning of being our sister’s keeper. I believe if the women of God would embrace the truth and characteristics of Christ, we could take the ministry statewide. There is so much work to be done for the Kingdom. But it’s going to take all of us to make things happen. If one life is touched with the works of the ministry, I feel it is not in vain”.
We look forward to having you at our next Girl Talk session- let’s serve in ministry together.
