Jeremiah 29:10-14
For the most part in nature there is often a calm that precedes a storm. Just like in the natural if we would take a minute to look back over your own lives you would all find a period of peace and happiness right before the biggest storms in your life. Everything was going good and suddenly.
As believers we all should know that nothing happens in our lives by happenstance or by accident. Everything that happens in our lives is either ordained by God or permitted by God, but nothing random happens in the life as most would have you to believe. The good is ordained while the bad is permitted. Look at Job, all of the good things in his life were ordained by God; therefore, when Satan tried to say that Job’s faithfulness was due to substance, God permitted him to take it all away. The key to Job not being focused on the material things, but rather upon the goodness, faithfulness, and the love of God was his relationship with God established through spending time talking to God through prayer. The lesson here is that just like Job we to must be faithful in prayer while we are in the good times, so that when the bad time comes God will stand up and be the keeper of your soul!!!
HEAR THIS: The Kingdom of God is on the verge of the next move of God and we cannot afford to standby idly gazing and miss what God is about to do in the Earth. We must be persistent in prayer in order to have a relationship that will give us the strength to endure every trial that is permitted to come our way, Paul said it this way in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 PRAY WITHOUT CEASING!!
Beloved of God, I challenge you to grow closer to God by dedicating some quality time for prayer and devotion unto him. For now is a time and a season for prayer like never before. Just like in the days of Jeremiah you have suffered for a little while, yet have endured. But because of your faithfulness, “Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
