Ask yourself this question, “Have I ever doubted God?” It is likely that 100% of us would have to say yes. There are times in our lives when we will know without a doubt that God is leading or guiding us into a new direction yet we will intentionally create a delay.
I believe that our intentional delay is based upon our uncertainty. The uncertainty that will cause us to say, “I haven’t been here before, or I haven’t done it like this before.” If we aren’t careful, this uncertainty will lead to doubt that can quickly turn into disbelief.
God wants us to trust him TOTALLY! God told Abram in Genesis 12:1, “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:”
Notice, God didn’t provide any details as to why, how, when, or where; He simply instructed him to go. Abram was from a family who was well-established, meaning that all of his needs were supplied based upon his earthly father. God wanted Abram to learn that in all actuality all of his needs were being supplied because of God and God alone.
Are you prepared for God to ask you to do something, or go somewhere different? Are you ready to stretch out on faith? Are you ready to separate yourself from family and friends so that you can finally hear God’s purpose for your life? Are you ready to experience God in a way that you’ve never experienced him before? Are you ready to permit God to get up-close and personal with you? Are you ready to take God at his word concerning your life?
If you are then, let’s begin to live in the words of the song “I Surrender All,” by committing to Proverbs 3:5-6:
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Now go and remember to “TRUST GOD TOTALLY!”
