Have you ever been in a deep, deep sleep? It was amazing wasn’t it? Well, guess what the best part was not the sleep itself, the best part was waking up. The AWAKENING is always followed by a yawn and a long stretch. The purpose of the yawn is to reinvigorate your brain with a burst of highly charged oxygen which sends sparks of energy known as brain waves that calls every cell in your body to life. The stretch is a message to your muscles, “hey we’re still alive let’s go”.
We are at our closest to death when we are sleeping. During sleep we don’t know if we are breathing, we do not know what’s going on around us, and we can only hope that we are in the place where we laid down at and fell asleep. In other words there’s nothing that we can do while sleeping. This is why Jesus said, “I must work while its day because night is coming and no man can work.” He wasn’t speaking of the time frame where the sun goes down, but rather about the time frame when we are sleeping and absolutely nothing gets accomplished.
The reality is that there are a lot of people in the church who have been asleep and didn’t know it and nothing has been done about the world being lost around us. These people had a form of godliness, yet were in denial of his power (sleep). They feel it’s ok to sin, because God will always forgive them (sleep). So they live life in a cycle of going to church regularly yet having no desire for repentance or to have a true relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Brothers and sisters, Wake up! The signs of the times are written in the heavens and are being revealed through the events of this present age. The great gathering is drawing near and Christ shall soon return. Can’t you sense it in the atmosphere? The Awakening has begun! “Now it is high time to AWAKEN out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” Romans 13:11 ESV
