“Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.” Joshua 3:5 ESV
After you experience a shift in consciousness, there is something more. You have to choose your level of devotion. You can no longer allow yourself to be satisfied with the status quo. Church as usual; the systematic, ritualistic, and ceremonial experiences that we know will no longer do it. I am not satisfied by membership; I WANT DISCIPLESHIP!
So how do I get there? I must first desire it, and then I must decide to set myself apart and go after it. Joshua knew that the people could not receive the promise without a radical change in mindset, THE AWAKENING! The people had to decide to dedicate themselves to receiving the promises of God
Wow, could we lack so much because we have yet to commit ourselves to fully receiving the promises! If we give ourselves unto a thing, only then do we fully possess it. A bride does not become a wife until the marriage is consummated or until she gives herself fully unto the groom and the groom gives herself fully unto her. At that covenant moment, the moment of the shedding of the blood, they set themselves apart one unto another.
Once we are fully AWAKENED to the fact that Christ shed his blood to signify the consummation of the marriage with us, we finally realize that we have been set apart as sons and daughters of the Most-High God. Hallelujah!
