Psalms: 57:1-2 CEB
“Be gracious to me, God, be gracious to me, for I take refuge in you. I will seek refuge in the shadow of your wings until danger passes. I call to God Most High, to God who fulfills His purpose for me.”
Instead of complaining in a crisis about the struggle in the storms of life, I challenge you to pray. What you feed is what will grow. We often feed complaints, negativity, pettiness, bitterness, and brokenness. Quick to give credit to the devil, the enemy would have a perfect credit score for all the times we declare, “the devil is busy”. The devil may be working but he can’t come to work unless God gives him permission.
During this time of crisis, focus on what it is that God is saying to you. I challenge you to digress from speaking things that will tear you down. Declare that God will be gracious to you, and you can take refuge in Him. Allow Him to be your protector, seek shelter in His wings. We don’t know what tomorrow holds, but we know who holds tomorrow. So, while we trust that God will grace us with what is to come, find your purpose in the pandemic. Call on His name. There is power in calling on Him.
Don’t forget WHOSE you are. God has promises that concern you but you can’t forget Him because you are faced with trouble. Where is your faith? He is the only one that can get you through. God will fulfill His purpose for you. He can and will save you. He will rescue you and protect you because you have a purpose to fulfill. What has God spoken on your behalf? What has He promised you? Don’t get distracted in this season. Remember Christ in the Crisis. Focus on Purpose in the Pandemic. You are called to do more than speak negativity, advertise media gossip, post petty and subliminal messages and give free commercials to COVID-19. Don’t you dare get so caught up in what is currently happening that you forget about the promises of God. You will prosper, there is hope! I challenge you to pray, find your purpose in the pandemic, God is already protecting you, do not be afraid.
