“He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.” ~Psalms 1:2 ESV
Hold up! Do you mean to tell me that it’s true? Am I not here by mistake? My brother and my sister, you are correct. Your steps are ordered, and the reason that you are reading this is not a mistake; it’s a fruit that came about as a result of you being planted.
One of the first things that stood out is that this text does not reference a seed or an immature believer. No, it speaks of a tree, the believer who has been around for a season or two. What’s unique about this tree? First, its location; this tree is planted in an area where it is continuously being fed. Are you planted in a fertile place where your spirit is always being fed?
Second, it produces, as a result of being fed continuously; in other words, this tree is reliable. The Lord is raising a generation of believers deeply rooted in Him that others may rely upon them to have an in-season word for them when they need it most.
Finally, it’s sustainable, resulting from it being continuously fed the leaves of this tree shall not wither. This means that it is held together well; it has the strength to survive even the harshest of storms.
The AWAKENING is the Lord giving each of us time to ensure that we are planted in the right location where we are continuously being fed. As a result, we become reliable, and people can depend on our strength and faith in the God who sustains us all.
