“And they have conquered (Overcame) him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.” Revelations 12:11 ESV
Regardless of what you have overheard as you were growing up sitting in the back of the church, passing notes and chewing bubble gum, every day will not be like Sunday morning, and every cloud will not have a silver lining.” That means that not every day in the life of a believer will be filled with joy. There will be heartache, pain, and struggles.
Believing in Jesus Christ and receiving Him as your personal Lord and savior do not give you magical powers to snap your fingers and make the dark clouds go away. According to John, in chapter sixteen and verse number 33 of the Gospel, the writer recorded Jesus, saying, “…in this life, we will have troubles.” This means that as sure as you and I are living, we are guaranteed to go through something.
Take notice that the keyword in the previous sentence is “through,” You will not get stuck, lost, or die amid your struggles! You see in John 16:33, there is also a statement of victory, and it is where Jesus said, “take heart, I have overcome the world.” Wow! If he has overcome the issues in this life and is our example, we too have the power to overcome them! How, you may ask? “By the Blood of the Lamb,” Jesus confirmed in Revelations 12:11 that despite all of the challenges that I may face in life, I could approach them with confidence, knowing that I have already overcome!
May this time of fasting and praying strengthen your faith and relationship with Jesus Christ so that you know that you have already OVERCOME THE STRUGGLE BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB! Now give the Lord some praise!
