We all have that spot that thing or those things (family time, self-care, responsibilities, etc.) that we assume will always be there. Life often gets so busy that we take our spot for granted thinking, it’ll be in the same condition that we left it in. Many times, we get bogged down with the clutter of daily routines that we may forget the importance of checking on a loved one, finding a moment to check on ourselves, and/or enjoy reality. Sometimes, our spot gets neglected because we fail to show up.
It’s time to get to your spot. Don’t forget about those things that are treasures to you. Don’t allow the little things of the daily routine to cause you to forget about the blessings that are right in front of you. It’s easy to get tired doing the same thing that we fail to find rest in God. Make sure you include self- awareness in your daily routine and stop allowing the invasion of frustration, deadlines, negativity, aggravation, and lack of self-worth to takeover. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, you’re a living, breathing, walking, talking, moving miracle! Your spot is your treasure, and that is where your heart should be.
Time waits for no one, and no one knows what time the Lord will return. Let’s make it a habit to invest in the things that matter. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Be real with yourself and focus on your blessings. Understand, you matter too, and you have a purpose. The one thing about getting to the spot, the Lord is there waiting. He cares just that much, and so should we. Luke 12:34 tells us, “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Invest in the matters of your heart, which includes investing in YOU. It’s time to get to your spot!
I encourage you to not take the little things for granted, but to continue to put God first, love like you mean it, forgive because it’s necessary, and invest in the matters of your heart.
