“22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV
As you wake up and start the day, I have good news for you, “it’s a brand new day.” That means that yesterday’s troubles, worries, heartache, and pains are behind you. What you do with this day significantly impacts your future. Don’t waste this opportunity reminiscing upon the past but instead, look with anticipation for the blessings that this new day has to offer.
Your God is faithful towards you, and you have the certainty that the sun will rise again despite the darkness of this day. So likewise, we who believe have the same assurance that God loves me and that he will always have mercy towards me.
May this time of fasting and praying help you understand that the Lord will always be what you need when you need it most and that you can always hope for tomorrow with him. So exhale and let it go because something new is on the horizon.
