“22 then you shall let your children know, ‘Israel passed over this Jordan on dry ground.’ 23 For the Lord your God dried up the waters of the Jordan for you until you passed over, as the Lord your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up for us until we passed over….” Joshua 4:22 ESV
What’s causing you to worry? Do you not know that he will do it again if God did it before! You can shout right there! But, as believers, we waste too much time yielding to worry and doubt. All of that shall come to an abrupt end in this next season of your life.
The new generation of Israelites led by Joseph found themselves in a familiar place to their ancestors. They were facing a large body of water, and their place of promise and provisions were on the other side. So take courage, children of the Most High God; if he brings you to it, rest assured that he will get you through it.
These young Israelites were at a very pivotal point in their lives where they had to decide if they would trust God. At times you will be faced with situations that will require you to trust God because the situation looks or seems impossible, and the only possible solution lies in him alone. Will you do it in God’s way when everybody is telling you to do it your way? Or will you trust him to do it again?
Through this period of fasting and praying, the faithfulness of God shall be revealed unto you. If God did it before, you can rest in the promise that he can and will do it again whenever you need him most.
