“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.” 1 John 4:16
Jesus loves me. This I know
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong.
They are weak, but He is strong.
This song that we sung as children in the church means so much today. Who could of imagine a Sunday school class song could have such an in an adult life. Truth be told, Jesus loves us inpite of our shortcoming and our flaws. His loves for us goes beyond this earth. One of my favorites: Has it ever been a time that you can rely on the Love of God? A time when you feel that God wasn’t there, but yet he showed out and came on time? Despite of our sins, struggles, and obacles of life God love is always with us. Even in our storms when we can feel God’s presence, we are reminded that He is there. His love is unconditional and that’s a blessing. What a joy it is to have someone who loves you and shows you what real love is. Through Jesus’ sacrifice, God loves us unconditionally. It is truly amazing how we imitate Jesús as our model of true love. Romans 5:8 reminds us, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” God wants us to love one another and ourself and to accept the responsitiblites and our given mission that He wants us to do. The world has so much hate today and sometimes even in churches, but we are reminded that Christ is love and to love someone else means we are being like Christ. Others should see the love we have through Christ. Jesus’ commandment to “love one another, just as I have loved you” (John 15:12) finds its fullest manifestation in the body of believers.
1 Corinthians 13:5 says, “Love keeps no record of wrongs” (NIV). We give God permission to do whatever He wants with us when we choose forgiveness instead of bitterness. God love us even before we accept him in our life and even before we loved ourselves. We forgive ourselves for our past mistakes. That’s’s unconditional love. I remember that God saved me so many times before I accepted Him and it’s because of His love for me. What a blessing it is to be safe in the arms of Jesus.
We are reminded that TRUE Love reflects God’s love for us. “We love, because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19). And while our direct priority is toward other believers, our responsibility to love doesn’t end there. Reflect that God loves you even when you doubt Him, and start to realize life can be so much better by embracing His love for you. For you are chosen and He loves you like no other. No love is like Christ love for you.
