“ 3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you, just as I promised to Moses.” Joshua 1:2 ESV
Despite how you feel, you are not lost any longer. The minute you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, every step you have taken has a purpose. You have not wasted one step on this journey, and you are exactly where God desires for you to be at this moment in your life.
You feel lost because you’ve wasted time listening to man’s suggestions until receiving directions from the Holy Spirit seems strange. But be confident in this; every step you take has a purpose, and those steps are to get you to a predetermined place that God has ordained for you to reach.
The key to ensuring that you reach your destination is to ask the Holy Spirit to guide you daily in the way you should go. The words of Psalms 37; 23-25 encourage you by testifying that no steps taken in faith are wasted, and all you have to do now is follow his directions.
Psalms 37:23-25 “23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”
