To elevate something, by definition, means to raise or lift it up to a higher position or to move something from a lower status to a higher status. This can be applied physically, intellectually, or spiritually. Elevating the mind, scripturally speaking, is a process of transforming your way of thinking or renewing the mind (Romans 12:2).
In this way, the mind is elevated by making an intentional decision to operate in complete obedience to God based on what is written in his word. You then elevate to a place where you no longer lean to your own understanding of things, but you seek God’s divine counsel, through prayer, for every decision in your life (Proverbs 3:5-6). What causes the elevation is that now you are leaving an earthly way of thinking and moving to a kingdom way of thinking. An earthly way of thinking says “I don’t think I can,” but a kingdom way of thinking says, “Yes, I can” because I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me (Philippians 4:13). So then, your mindset is changed in such a way that I now see myself accomplishing what appeared to be impossible before.
Now the impossible becomes possible because my mind has been elevated. Now I walk in dominion and power because my thought process has changed not only my spiritual status but my life status because it is a well-known fact that changing my thoughts can change my life. Therefore, because I am changing my thoughts to line up with the word of God, it opens up realms of elevation – elevation in my health, elevation in my finances, elevation in every area of my life because my mind has been elevated. Elevate your mind, elevate your life.
