I have found that most leaders have a greater passion in the things that have hurt them the most. When called with the ‘passion’ to lead, a leader is more effective and efficient. Why? Because he or she is able to connect to that thing that they are leading, because what was personal is now purposeful, for HIS Glory. Understand, pain will never cause you to be so hurt that you can’t hear from God. There is always room for God when you are going through difficult situations and storms. If you are obedient to the Lord, and give Him the glory out of your struggle, you will find that your misery will birth ministry.
You are called with the passion to lead when you accept that you are broken to minister. Your story is not just for you. Your struggle will give someone else strength. Have you been called with the passion to lead? There is no need to be ashamed of the thing that God is calling you to do. Truth is, it is far greater to be obedient to God than be ashamed in front of others. Also, be sure you are not making the commitment you have with others greater than your commitment to God. God has something bigger for you to do, when you are called with the passion to lead, there will be relationships that can’t go with you to the next level.
What has God called you to? Your story has deliverance attached to it and someone is waiting on your testimony so that they can survive. Are you ready to lead?
2 Timothy 2:15 “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth.”
Father God, I pray for those that have been called with the passion to lead and for those who will answer the call. May they have the courage, discipline, and determination to not grow weary in their well doing. May they always give you glory, be cultivated with Jesus, stimulated by the Holy Spirit, and motivated to minister. Lord protect them so that they can use their misery as medicine for someone else and that you always get the glory. In Jesus Name.
