I am absolutely convinced that God wants us to know that even though people may not see or acknowledge our talents and gifts, that does not mean they are not there or He hasn’t place them there. They are concealed for a reason and a season, deep down inside, just below the surface. God doesn’t keep things from us; He has made us for a specific thing. In John 10:10 Jesus states, that the thief comes to steal kill and destroy, but to counter that Jesus said he has come to give life in abundance. The word abundance means – plentiful of the good things of life; beyond measure, prosperity, OVERFLOW!
In Genesis 37:5 Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more. Watch out for those dream killers. In other words a Dream Killer is someone who is determined to stop you from becoming, or from possessing that which God has revealed unto you through the dream. The truth of the matter is if they can’t kill the dream they may even try to kill you. Joseph’s brothers became so envious until hatred drove them to destroy their own flesh and blood. Don’t let people stop you from dreaming. Make up your mind to walk in the dreams, the desires and the visions that God has given you. It is not until you decide that you are going to live out your God given dream, instead of living to impress or to satisfy people, that you will be successful.
In Jeremiah 29:11 God said, I know the plans I have for you, they are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In other words, those fruitful dreams are merely flashes of heavens, video clips of God’s plan that was written specifically for your life. So stay focused on the flashes and beware of the dream killers.
Dream Killers are everywhere; in the family, in school and even in the church. Get away from those dream killers. Don’t limit God or put Him in a box, stop sleep walking and get up and be who God has destined you to be!
