Have you ever heard the question posed, “How ya livin?” In some regions this used to be a popular way to greet one another. I wonder what response we would receive if we started greeting one another this way in churches across the world, and require an honest response?

If we would really be honest, here are some of the responses that you would hear from those who confess that they know Christ:
• I lie too much
• I drink too much
• I cheat on my spouse
• I’m sexually immoral
• I live an alternative lifestyle
• And here’s and oldie but goodie, “I’m just a sinner saved by grace!!!”

The problem is that it is impossible to live what we fail to confess. So the next time someone asks you, “How ya livin?” Simply say to them and to yourselves, “I am Holy, I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.”

For the Scripture says concerning you in:

1 Peter 1: 15-16
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

2 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

So when you know who you are, then its easy to confess, “How ya livin!”
