“5 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses so will I be with you.” Joshua 1: 5 ESV
Sometimes the journey may seem lonely, and it feels as though you have walked through the darkest times in life by yourself; take courage; the Lord was with you every step of the way. The enemy wanted to make you feel as though you were alone because loneliness if left unchecked, leads directly into depression and despair. The feeling of being alone often attacks those in leadership who are under the pressure of making a decision that may alter someone else’s life.
As Joshua sat there mourning the death of his spiritual father and mentor Moses, he was on the verge of depression and despair. Joshua faced these feelings simultaneously that he was elevated into the position of the leader of the flock of God’s people. Can you imagine how he must have felt? I’m sure that God knew precisely how Joshua felt and how you may be feeling at times. So the Lord encouraged Joshua by assuring him that, “Just as I was with Moses, so will I be with you.” You are not alone in this; the Lord God Almighty is with you. So arise and crossover unto the other side.
