“‘My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.’” Psalms 63:8 ESV
Do you know anyone who’s clingy? Is being clingy a bad thing? Being clingy is having a strong desire for another’s embrace; it’s a form of relationship that shows a great need to be close to another being.
• A clingy person loves to hold on to you tightly.
• A clingy person loves to be near you.
• A clingy person always wants to be wherever you are.
Here’s a big surprise, God yearns for us to clingy with him. The scripture reveals this in James 4:8 ESV says, “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” Fred Hammond wrote a song that says, “Just to be close to you is my desire.” What’s your desire? Do you yearn to be near him every minute of every day?
The writer of Psalms 63 gives us a biblical seal of approval and makes us all aware of the fact that it’s ok to be clingy. Will you join me today in this affirmation: I’m Clingy!
